Help for Nimbrune, the private on-device night sound recorder for iPhone and iPad.
Contact support
Email support@softforge.digital and include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, Nimbrune version, what you expected to happen, and the exact steps that led to the issue. Please do not attach private recordings unless you deliberately want us to inspect that specific file.
We aim to acknowledge support requests within one business day. Support is available in English and French.
Microphone access
Nimbrune asks for microphone access only after the onboarding explanation. If access was denied, open iOS Settings, find Nimbrune, enable Microphone, and return to the app. Recording never begins until you tap Start Recording.
No clips were detected
An empty session can be a valid result. Detection depends on volume, device placement, distance, room noise, and Apple's on-device classifier. Place the device safely near the bed with its microphone unobstructed. Nimbrune does not guarantee that every sound will be classified.
Interrupted or unfinished sessions
Calls, alarms, route changes, low storage, or other system audio events can interrupt capture. If local analysis or cleanup did not finish, Nimbrune may offer the protected source for retry or discard. Keep the app open while it processes a completed recording.
Privacy and local data
Nimbrune has no account or cloud database, so we cannot see or restore your sessions. Use the app's session controls to remove an individual session, or Settings to remove all local session data. Recordings and analysis stay on your device unless you explicitly share a copy.
Important limitation
Nimbrune is a personal audio-review tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor a medical condition or measure sleep quality. For health concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional.
